A letter from Raul Hernandez in the Dominican Republic on the WTO protests in 1999.
Hi. I live in the Dominican Republic, a poor country in the Caribbean who has been invaded twice in this century by american marines. We have been exploited in every possible way by international capital. What you and your fellow protesters have done is of inmense value for our fight for independence, freedom and a better future. This is a great victory and the people who were there, facing the repressive forces of the system deserve the greatest credit for it! Thanks!

"By introducing social in place of private ownership of the means of production and exchange, by introducing planned organization of social production to ensure the well-being of all the members of society, the proletarian social revolution will do away with the division of society into classes and thereby emancipate the whole of oppressed humanity, for it will put an end to all forms of exploitation of one section of society by another" - V.I.
